nelsonspirit was established in 2008 by Chairman, Nigel Cushion. The inspiration came to Nigel after the death of a close friend. We believe: engaging more closely and doing stuff together is one of the best ways to grow and help others.
We are also inspired by history and particularly Lord Nelson. Nelson’s favourite flag signal was "Engage Enemy More Closely". Today, we define the "enemy" as deprivation, or ignorance, or poverty, or isolation.
We are based at the Broad House Hotel on the Norfolk Broads, England.
