nelsonspirit was started by Chairman Nigel Cushion http://uk.linkedin.com/in/nigelcushion in 2008. Nigel's inspiration came following the death of a close friend, and also on realising that the world has so many great businesses and charities, but that the leaders were often working in isolation. He found that bringing leaders together and getting them to engage closely, work on real problems, rather than just 'networking' could produce amazing results. His interest in Lord Nelson, revealed that nelson's favourite signal was "Engage enemy more closely". Close engagement with your peers is at the heart of nelsonspirit.
