Future Leader Jake

30 Jan 2017

After volunteering with Raleigh International and the International Citizen service, Future Leader Jake reflects here on his time in Nepal.
'I was given the incredible opportunity to volunteer with Raleigh International and International Citizen Service. Along with many other British and Nepali volunteers we stayed in the rural villages of the Makwanpur region, Nepal.

During our time in a small rural village called Ikchung we had various target criteria to work to. The criteria either related to WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), or Livelihoods which focuses on the lifestyles of the community, agriculture and education.

This was by far the best experience of my life and I've learnt many priceless life lessons from my time in Nepal. I can safely say it's completely changed my outlook and ambitions in life. With many thanks to Nelsonspirit for helping me raise higher than my fundraising target of £800.'

Congratulations Jake!! It is fantastic to hear that you had an insightful and fulfilling time in Nepal!!
