26 Sep 2019

Future Leader Lewis has returned from Uganda where he travelled with his team for 3 weeks in partnership with East African Playgrounds.

In the duration of the trip, Lewis and his team successfully built and opened a playground at Matuumu Bumegere Primary School, which will provide the pupils with opportunities for skills development and play. Lewis says that one of his highlights of the trip was seeing how joyful the children at the school were when they ran onto the playground on the opening day, and he hopes to revisit the school someday.

Lewis's trip was supported by the Future Leaders Fund, backed by Norfolk leaders. The fund supports Norfolk young people on adventures that grow them as leaders while helping others in communties.
