08 Jan 2019

Nelsonspirit Future Leaders Fund is delighted to support Tom, who is leading a team of his Bangor University mates to climb Kilimanjaro. Tom, a former pupil of Wymondham College, said "Our team of 47 students are aiming to fundraise £150,000 for the MIND mental health charity by trekking to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro, Africa in September".

Nicki Cushion from Nelsonspirit said, “not only is Tom raising money for MIND, and meeting the personal challenge himself, he is showing leadership by inspiring and organising his friends.”

Nelsonspirit future leaders fund provides grants to Norfolk young people who want to grow themselves as leaders, while helping others in communities all over the world. In the last 4 years the fund, which is managed by the Norfolk Community Foundation, has supported 45 young people. Inspired by a leader of yesterday, funded by the leaders of today, helping to grow the leaders of tomorrow.
