Summer 2015 has seen 6 Norfolk-based Future Leaders travel around the world, developing themselves as leaders and helping the local communities that they have visited.
The nelsonspirit Future Leaders Fund
provides modest grants to young people aged 17 to 24 who are based in Norfolk, in order to help them develop as leaders. Young people are the leaders of tomorrow. Our aim is to support, inspire and grow them by bringing them into contact with today's leaders. Our work with young people is non commercial. Amy

In June, Saul headed off to Toledo, in Southern Belize, on a six week voluntary fieldwork trip to help with the conservation and sustainability of habitats as diverse as rain forests to coral reefs. Saul said he was "looking forward to applying the field-skills" that he gained throughout his degree to the jungles and marine ecosystems of Belize.Luke
Luke has volunteered locally as a Youth Worker with DNA at Rising Brook Baptist Church in Stafford over the past year. Luke says "DNA has been life changing and I can’t wait to get back to Norwich to start running some youth programmes and events for the community!"
None of this would have been possible without the kind donations from the supporters of our Future Leaders Fund so a huge thanks must go to them. We would also like to thank Norfolk Community Foundation
for the help that they have given and for hosting the fund.
We would also like to wish Christina, Hannah and Joshua the best of luck with their forthcoming projects and look forward to hearing all about them. Future Leader Christina will be running a Nurture by Nature Forest School B Leaf project in Attleborough for young people alongside gaining an archery qualification, while Future Leaders Hannah and Josh will embark on their own Tall Ship Voyages, each supporting a disabled person on the journey. Hannah & Josh will travel across the Atlantic to Costa Rica in February 2016.
