Future Leaders Fund Update

01 Mar 2016

Congratulations to Thirza, the most recent recipient of a Future Leaders Fund grant. Thirza will be volunteering with Raleigh International in a community project in Nepal, as part of the International Citizen Service (ICS).

The project, WASH, aims to improve access to safe water and sanitation facilities. Time will be spent both building the infrastructure itself and raising awareness in the community about its importance. She hopes the experience will improve her public speaking, event organisation and confidence, which she hopes will help her to become a leader in the not-for-profit sector in the future.

The Future Leaders Fund supports young people aged 17-24 looking to grow as leaders by helping others in voluntary projects. It allows the leaders of today to support the growth of tomorrow's leaders by allowing them to develop and grow whilst doing good.
